Charlize Theron was born some time back on Aug 7, 1975 at Benoni, considered to be in the then-Transvaal Province of South Africa, it is believed she was the only child of Gerda  and Charles. Her ancestry was French, German, and Dutch. She was brought up on her parents’ farm in Benoni, near Johannesburg. Sometime in the vicinity of 1991 while she was attaining at the age of fifteen years, Charlize Theron’s father, and an alcoholic, bodily attacked her mother and threatened both her mother and her while drunk; Theron’s mother then shot and killed him. The shooting was believed to be legally adjudged to have been self defence and her mother faced no charges.
