She is an American actress and humorist recognized for her character in the TV seriel Cheers, in which she had the role of Rebecca Howe from 1987 to 1993, which won her an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe prize as the exceptional Lead Actress in a humorous Series in 1991. She is also recognized for her role in the thriller Shoot to Kill and the Look Who's Talking film sequence as the character of Mollie Ubriacco.
